ADENCO was founded in 2013 in Istanbul to do one thing: manufacture water intake screens that clean themselves. The Coanda effect makes filtration gravity-powered, with no external power and no moving parts.
As part of the Aden Group, we combine decades of industrial engineering experience with focused expertise in hydraulic screen design. Every screen we deliver is designed for the client's site conditions, from small mountain rivers in Andorra to hydropower intakes in East Africa.
Today we have offices in Istanbul and Sindelfingen and an R&D Center at Technopark Istanbul, and we serve clients in more than 20 countries. Our screens have no moving parts that can wear out. The screen cleans itself during operation, so maintenance is minimal: typically one manual cleaning when the seasons change, depending on site conditions.

Milestones
Foundation
ADENCO was founded in Istanbul as a specialist Coanda screen manufacturer within the Aden Group.
First Export
First international delivery. Coanda screens shipped to Eastern Europe for hydropower projects.
Germany Office
European representative office opened in Sindelfingen, Germany: available for client meetings by appointment.
R&D Center
Technopark Istanbul R&D Center launched for advanced screen geometry and materials research.
TISKI Project
64-screen drinking water intake retrofit delivered for TISKI (Trabzon Water and Sewerage Administration), the first use of Coanda screens for drinking water in the region.
New Product Line
Released a new product line with improved anti-icing technology and a wider range of configurations.
R&D Center
Our R&D Center at Technopark Istanbul is where we develop Coanda screen technology further. Our work ranges from hydraulic modelling based on the published US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) method to prototype testing. We keep improving our screen geometries and compare them with measured data from more than 500 delivered projects.
Current research focuses on advanced anti-icing systems for extreme cold climates, configurations with wider slot openings for agricultural applications, and improved alloy performance under high-sediment conditions.
