ADENCO-45 Coanda intake screen
COMPACT SERIES

ADENCO-45

A compact Coanda screen for drinking water, agriculture, irrigation, and small intakes. The small installed area suits sites with limited space or lower flow, and capacity increases by placing units side by side. Groups of several ADENCO-45 units serve drinking-water sites in Bursa and Trabzon.

CAPACITY35 l/s per metre of width, which gives 5 to 35 l/s per unit. Up to twelve units side by side reach 420 l/s.

STANDARD SERIES

ADENCO-70

The most widely used model in the ADENCO range. Designed for agricultural and irrigation intakes, headworks of wastewater and water treatment plants, municipal drinking water, and medium-scale hydropower. Reference project: Seydioğlu HPP (hydropower plant), Trabzon, a 2,500 l/s Tyrolean intake retrofit built with custom Coanda screens.

CAPACITY67 l/s per metre of width, which gives 25 to 100 l/s per unit. Up to eight units side by side reach 800 l/s.

HIGH-CAPACITY SERIES

ADENCO-127

Designed for large-scale infrastructure: major hydropower, large irrigation systems, and industrial wastewater treatment. It delivers the highest flow rates on the same passive Coanda principle as the smaller series, with no electricity needed. Reference project: Gongele HPP, Antalya, 4,424 l/s with 28 screens.

CAPACITY150 l/s per metre of width. Several units side by side reach 6,500 l/s.

PRE-ASSEMBLED SERIES

ADENCO-BOX

A complete Coanda screen unit inside a closed casing with a built-in outlet, known in the industry as a Coanda Box. Bolted assembly makes it quick to install and simple to unbolt and move to another site later, so a site can be served without committing to a concrete intake structure or heavy groundworks.

CAPACITY5 to 100 l/s, sized and supplied as one complete, pre-assembled unit, ready to install.

MODEL SELECTOR

Find your screen by flow rate

Enter your project's design flow. We show where your flow sits in our capacity range, suggest a series to start from, and show the closest reference project we have delivered. Capacity increases by placing units side by side, so the model is chosen by the flow per metre of screen width: 35 l/s for the ADENCO-45, 67 l/s for the ADENCO-70, 150 l/s for the ADENCO-127. The pre-assembled ADENCO-BOX, a screen supplied inside a closed casing, handles 5 to 100 l/s.

Most flows can be met by more than one series, and each option has real advantages and disadvantages; the choice is not a formality. A series with smaller units needs more of them, which spreads the same flow over more screen width and takes in water more evenly and more smoothly. Every added unit also adds cost, so choosing the next larger series usually lowers the price by cutting the unit count. Which option is better depends on the project. Our engineers explain both options with your figures when they review your request.

The unit counts here are what we recommend, not a limit. Choosing the next larger series also means a greater screen drop height: 450 mm on the ADENCO-45, 700 mm on the ADENCO-70, 1,270 mm on the ADENCO-127. A site that cannot lose that much hydraulic head must stay with the series with smaller units and add units instead. One ADENCO-45 project now being built puts twelve units side by side for exactly that reason. If your available hydraulic head is limited, tell us and we will size the screen to suit it.

SCOPE OF SUPPLY

What ADENCO delivers, what your contractor does

Plan the cost of both parts of the work with no unexpected items. ADENCO supplies the screen and everything needed to install it; your contractor places it on the prepared concrete structure and provides the installation labour, following ADENCO drawings.

ADENCO installation materials and fixings laid out: EPDM sealing tape coil, sealant gun, PU sealing mastic cartridges, stainless steel anchor clips, spanner and the cleaning brush
Included with every delivery
Coanda screen assembly (screen panel, acceleration plate, frame)
Complete set of installation materials and fixings: drill bits, high-quality sealing mastic, gaskets, silicone for rough concrete surfaces, EPDM sealing tape, stainless steel anchor clips, sealant gun
Stiff plastic cleaning brush for periodic manual cleaning
Installation drawings, EN 10204 3.1 material certificates, and factory and site acceptance test (FAT/SAT) documentation
Provided by your contractor
Concrete works: the weir or intake structure per ADENCO drawings
Placement of the screen onto the prepared structure and installation labour

Need a non-standard configuration?

Our engineers design custom screens for unusual site conditions, extreme environments, and non-standard flow requirements, in dimensions and capacities outside the standard series. If your required flow, available hydraulic head, or site geometry is outside the values in the tables, send us the numbers and we will size a screen for those values.
